The original film has never been known as a particularly great movie, I hate to say that as a huge Romero fan, but lets face it the original "The Crazies" well it aint no Dawn of he Dead. Even for a low budget film it is pretty damn low budget, virtually every voice in the film was done by Romero himself in post production, and so it seems as though every character in the film has the same voice, apart from the main characters of course. This is one of the few remakes that I had no problem in them redoing, as this remake is a vast improvement over Romero's original. If only George Romero had the resources back then to make the film properly, I'm sure if he did this would be known as one of the films which definitely did not need a remake. That is not the case here however.
